Hi, We’re Rachel and Josh.

After completing our undergraduate degrees in Finance and going on to pursue our honours in Finance, we decided to start The Investor’s Lane. Our mission is simple: to help the younger generation learn about saving and investing, as an outpouring of our passion for Finance. We also publish updates on our thesis topics in university, market updates, and useful investment tools.

How Our Work Will Benefit You

We are advocates for investing as early as possible, letting compound interest do its job, and making your finances work for you. The central question we explore through our work is, “How can we manage our finances optimally?”

In other words, we want to explain important concepts in a way that is easy to use and apply to daily life, and provide answers to the most frequently asked questions in finance.

Our writing focuses on topics like…

  • Financial Literacy
  • How to start saving and investing
  • What we learnt during our undergraduate degrees in finance
  • Monthly market

Most of all, we write about how to put these concepts into practice in daily life.

The concepts that we discuss are all thoroughly researched. We look for various sources within the finance field. We consider it our job to find the best concepts and ideas and explain them in a way that is actionable and easy-to-understand.

We love the idea of leaving a great “intellectual inheritance of wealth”, and we are trying to add bits of knowledge to the pile by creating this website and sharing our work.

We don’t claim to have all the answers and we still have a lot to learn, but we are excited to share what we’ve discovered so far. Our work is not the only way to think about finance and investing, but it’s how we like to think about it. Hopefully, you’ll find it useful as well.
